Armed with a guitar and banjo, O’Neill’s live sets are a striking blend of originals and interpretations. Her music is stark and cerebral, with a voice that is singular and deeply personal.

O’Neill’s recent album, All of This Is Chance, released under indie powerhouse Rough Trade, showcases her talent in orchestral masterpieces like Old Note and the title track inspired by Patrick Kavanagh’s epic poem, The Great Hunger.

The album delves into contemplations on nature, birds, berries, bees, and blood, creating a sonic landscape that is both haunting and beautiful.

The artist’s five-time BBC Folk Award nominations and the 2019 Folk Album of the Year title for Heard a Long Gone Song highlight her standing in the folk music scene.

For her Australian tour, Lisa O’Neill will be joined by fellow Irish musician Brian Leach, who will be playing the hammer dulcimer—a fitting accompaniment to O’Neill’s enchanting performance.

Together, they promise an unforgettable musical experience that transcends boundaries, weaving a tapestry of sound that connects the ancient and the contemporary.
