Lionel Richie and Guy Sebastian have released a new version of ‘All Night Long’ to raise funds for the Christchurch earthquakes and Queensland floods.

Lionel Richie is no stranger to collaboriating for charity. Alongside Michael Jackson he penned We Are The World in 1985 for African famine relief. Now, in response to the Christchurch earthquakes and Queensland floods he is teaming up up with none other but our very own Guy Sebastian to release an updated version of his 80s hit track All Night Long.

With the help of producer Red One, who has been nominated for a Grammy five times for his work with Lady Gaga, the duo have put a modern twist 1983 pop single which orignally peaked at #1 on both the Billboard and ARIA charts.

“I can think of no better use for one of my most successful copyrights than to help raise needed funds for the people of Australia and New Zealand.  The people of these countries have been very good to me over the course of my career and I welcome the opportunity to return the kindness," said Richie.

RIchie and Sebastian are touring Australia and New Zealand from March 16 to April 6 and are expected to perform the track live.

Fans have already jumped at the opportunity to download the $2.19 track on iTunes, with a unanimous 5-star rating. One purchaser described it as "one of the most exciting duets of Guy’s career."

You can purchase the track for yourself on iTunes and if you want to see the moment they perform it live you can book tickets to their show at Rod Laver Arena on Ticketek, or their Yarra Valley show on Ticketmaster
