Library Siesta

Cafe Gummo

Access-friendly record label Off The List Records invites you to join them at Thornbury’s cosiest dive-bar, Cafe Gummo, on 30 September for a free accessible show to celebrate the release of Library Siesta’s second full-length album, ‘What You’re Worth’, through Off The List Records.

Almost seven years in the making, the album explores the fragility of self-worth: how it can be shaped by the way others treat us, unintentionally distorted by putting someone else on a pedestal, or worn down over time by holding onto guilt for too long.

‘What You’re Worth’ was selected as Feature Album of the Week on 2ser and packet album on FBi Radio. It includes AMRAP chart-topping lead single, ‘I Wouldn’t Mind’, as well as their much loved follow-ups ‘Insignificant Other’ and ‘Second Teenagehood’.

Joining them on the night will be groovy jangle rockers The Fillmores, who have recently put out a double single, ‘Heart Shaped Orange / A Bit Too Much’ ahead of their own future album. These new tunes have been described as wriggling jangle guitars and sax hooks in the face of 21st century love only to admit the subject mostly indescribable and inspired by the fruitful Australian rock of the 80s, and grounded in the place where they grew up, Gadubanud country on the Victorian coast.

This already exquisite lineup is rounded out nicely with 90’s alt-rock sweethearts, Cranes Against Clouds.
