Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around Melbourne here.

Hosted at her beloved East Melbourne bar, Chef Sigrid takes guests on a delectable journey featuring bites and meticulously-matched wines from Life’s Too Short’s ample bluestone cellar.

In the intimate classes, students will learn about all of the ins and outs of wine pairing, going far beyond the simple white-with-white-meat and red-with-red-meat rules.

Chef Sigrid will inform students about matching flavour intensity and character, balancing sweetness and cutting richness with acidity. At Salami Smackdown, try quirky local creations from award-winning artisans at Goose on the Loose, including camel, wild boar and kangaroo.

At the chocolate session, enjoy sweet treats from Only Mine Chocolatiers, with flavours like chai and clove honey. Those with dietary restrictions can peep the menu beforehand to ensure it’s in line with their needs.

The accomplished chef and businesswoman has been in the wine game for over a decade. Together with her WSET3-certified husband and fellow wine lover Antony Anderson she formed Life’s Too Short as a celebration of slow food, wine culture and education.
