As always, Leaps and Bounds looks to give back to the local music community. This year, venues can apply for $2,000 in funding for events shining a light on diverse music acts, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, culturally diverse, LGBTQIA+, people with a disability, female, or all-ages gigs.
Venues can also apply for up to $1,000 in funding for other gigs.
In addition to the financial support, Leaps and Bounds will help venues promote their gigs with street posters, radio announcements and digital promotions.
The 2021 program is still a ways off, but you can rest assured that the iconic Smith Street Dreaming Festival, Winter Record Store Day, and other special events will feature in this year’s expansive lineup of events.
