KISS have announced that they’re calling it quits and embarking on what is expected to be a mammoth End of the Road: World Tour.
The glam-rock four piece have had one hell of a career; they kicked things off in 1973, and rose to stardom only a few years later. They’ve been going strong since, and are ranked as one of the best selling bands of all time, having sold more than 100 million records worldwide. Additionally, Kiss was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.
While this tour marks the end of an era, it’s definitely going to be one hell of a show; you can trust in Gene Simmons to bring you a spectacle of a night. Remember in Gene Simmons’ Family Jewells when one whole episode catalogued Simmons’ son’s friend trying to film an Ancient Rome-themed porn film in the master bathroom without telling anyone, but he was caught out because someone found a loincloth on the stairwell? The man knows entertainment, people.
Founding member Paul Stanley, upon announcing the tour, confirmed the magnitude of what’s ahead; “It will be the most explosive, biggest show we’ve ever done. People who love us, come see us. If you’ve never seen us, this is the time. This will be the show.”
While no Australian dates have been announced, we are safely assuming that a tour of this magnitude will definitely make its way Down Under — boots, leather, chokers and face paint included.
