It’s always a good night when the funk experts over at PBS are on the decks. They’ll be helping you all bust a move from 8pm ’til 1am on the first Saturday of each month, starting March 4.

Miss Goldie hosts Boss Action every Saturday afternoon on PBS, a journey across America through the 60s and 70s spinning soul 45s pressed on small local labels often exploring black pride, women’s liberation and social change.

Emma Peel is a Soul-A-Go-Go favourite, beloved for her two hours of dusty, obscure, kaleidoscopic gems from the vinyl vaults of time on PBS each week for Switched On. Spanning the 1960s until now, and digging deep around the globe, Switched On dusts off forgotten records and weaves them together to create soundscapes that range from mellow and sublime to raucous and fever-pitched.
Lady Love Potion, Lady Soul and Joel Hamlin are also familiar names for anyone tuned into the Melbourne airwaves, many performing at Soul-A-Go-Go before.
Time you checked them all out for yourself in the flesh, grab tickets here.
