The 2024 run is the second-ever iteration of the festival, which is hosted by the global streetwear empire Culture Kings. When the event debuted in January this year, bringing Nelly, Neo and Ja Rul across the country, the lineup was so impressive that some fans even thought it was a scam.

Despite this, the festival sold out, securing itself as one of Australia’s primary celebrations of hip hop and R&B – as this year’s lineup goes to show.

The highly influential T-Pain leads the charge. Known for his signature auto-tuned vocal style (which went on to dominate the 2000s), the artist has released countless iconic tracks, including Buy U a Drank, I’m N Luv and Up Down.

He’ll be joined by R&B star Ashanti whose crystal-clear voice was emblematic of the decade, showcased on tracks like Foolish, Rock Wit U (Awww Baby) and Ja Rule’s Mezmerise, and T.I, best known for being a pioneer of trap music.

On the New Zealand dates of the festival, rapper The Game was replaced on the lineup by YG as he faced difficulty getting into the country.

Police have also said they will be targeting the festival with sniffer dogs following eight overdoses at a Flemington rave last weekend.
