Joe Miller brings his latest EP Planet E is Far Away to Collingwood's QQQ. ST Park this March, backed by an all-star local lineup.

The Melbourne-based DJ and producer, known for releases on All Day I Dream and Bedrock, will showcase his most introspective work to date. Drawing inspiration from British psychedelia, poetry, and 90s electronic music, Miller’s new EP on Anjunadeep Explorations marks an (admittedly very exciting) departure from his previous output.

Event details:

  • Joe Miller’s Planet E is Far Away EP Launch
  • Friday 21 March, 7pm-1am
  • QQQ. ST Park, 2 Peel St Collingwood
  • Early bird tickets $8 (before 8pm), general admission $20. Get them here.

Lineup (A-Z):

  • Jamie Stevens (Bedrock, Sudbeat, meanwhile)
  • Joe Miller (All Day I Dream, Bedrock)
  • Nasti Goreng (S.H.A.K.E.)
  • Pjenné (Passing Notes, Companion)

Joe Miller

A globe-trotting DJ with appearances in Berlin, New York, Tokyo, Chicago, London, and Saigon, Miller’s production style draws on collage techniques to evoke a sense of place. His back catalogue includes releases through All Day I Dream, Bedrock, Hoomidaas, Nie Wieder Schlafen, and Traum. For this performance, Miller will employ a hybrid setup combining synthesisers and multiple decks.

Jamie Stevens

Double-ARIA-winner Stevens brings decades of experience to the launch party. As a founding member of Infusion and with multiple Beatport number ones under his belt, including Rivers and Low Tide (in collaboration with Zankee Gulati), Stevens continues to dominate the electronic music landscape. His recent work includes remixes for Kasey Taylor, Barry Jamieson, Navar and Luke Chable, plus appearances on three recent Balance compilations. He has also collaborated on a number of successful remixes with Hernán Cattáneo, joining the Argentine legend in Córdoba in front of 20,000 people.

Pjenné

Naarm’s connection to the underground electronic scene, Pjenné brings academic rigour to her selections. The PhD graduate and Passing Notes radio host has held down slots at Inner Varnika, Strawberry Fields and Golden Plains. As co-manager of Companion label with Millú, she champions ethereal 90s electronica and psychedelic IDM.

Nasti Goreng

Representing S.H.A.K.E., Nasti Goreng’s genre-defying sets span high-octane club tracks to Nordic disco. Her carefully crafted performances showcase dance music history through unexpected connections.
