JAZZ: On Thursday, AUGUST 14, 2025, JMQ Jazz Ensemble celebrates 21 Years of Thursday Jazz nights in Melbourne. And who better to lead the festivities than vibrant jazz singer, JULIARNA CLARK with outstanding alto saxophonist, Tim Wilson at the welcoming Golden Gate Hotel, South Melbourne at 7pm. Not to mention the all-star line up : Nick Haywood (he’s back!), Michael Harding, Ryan Menezes + John Montesante.
JULIARNA’s rich and diverse musical journey spans jazz, classical, and choral music, making her a true standout in Australia’s music scene. She has led her own trios to septets in top venues and festivals, performing across Australia and internationally. Her talents have taken her from weekly gigs in Newham to performing on international Tours, from Los Angeles to Costa Rica alongside premier musicians from the USA and Europe. Whether she’s performing timeless jazz standards or curating special musical evenings, her presence is magnetic.
TIM: Joining Juliarna on stage is Tim Wilson, a singular jazz saxophonist, composer, and soloist. With an international gig and tour history, as well as leading his own jazz ensembles, Tim’s talent knows no bounds. Having him as a guest on our JMQ bandstand is always a treat.
