ARIA Hall-Of-Famers Jet and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra are going to rock the Sidney Myer Music Bowl for one night only this November.

On the back of sold-out Australian concerts in 2023/24, internationally acclaimed Australian rockers Jet will join forces with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and conductor Nicholas Buc to shake the foundations of the Sidney Myer Music Bowl for one mind-blowing concert, exclusive to their hometown, Melbourne.

In this one-off Australian concert Jet will make their first foray into the world of symphony orchestras to perform a string of classic singles and timeless tracks arranged for orchestra by Buc.

The incredible set list includes Are You Gonna Be My Girl and Cold Hard Bitch, which both peaked at number 1 on the US Modern Rock singles charts, along with Look What You’ve Done, Rollover DJ and Get Me Outta Here – songs that sound as invigorating today as they did 20 years ago.

Jet formed in 2001 and quickly conquered the world, selling more than 6.5 million albums globally and securing almost 10 x Platinum certification in Australia and Platinum in the USA and UK for their 2003 debut album Get Born.

The band’s 2006 follow up album Shine On was rammed full of another collection of melodic rockers and achieved Platinum status in Australia on the back of stand-out headline shows around the world, and an unforgettable Big Day Out run in 2007.

In 2023 the band was inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame and reunited for a sold-out Australian tour celebrating 20 Years of Get Born, with Get Born: 20th Anniversary Extended Edition playing stacked shows across cities and regional centres this May and June. The band will tour the US and UK in late 2024.

In anticipation of the collaboration with the MSO Nic Cester said, ‘We are all very excited to work with the MSO to add another musical dimension to our catalogue. The opportunity to elevate the live experience was one we just couldn’t pass up. It’s a complete one off and we’re definitely going to rock the Bowl like never before!”
