Not too far removed from his band’s oeuvre, The Panics vocalist Jae Laffer takes a more jovial turn with his debut solo single Leave A Light On. Not holding back in terms of instrumentation, the track features whirling retro synths, booming timpani punctuation, a handclap guided middle eight, all threaded by chugging acoustic guitar rhythm. Plus plenty of mileage is taken within each of the classy chorus’s syllables, all adding up to something rather delectable.
