Indie pop darling Laurel returns down under this March for intimate shows

Laurel
Words by Staff Writer

Laurel is heading back to Australia's east coast, bringing her dreamy soundscapes to intimate venues this March.

After a stellar run of Groovin The Moo sideshows in 2023, the British singer-songwriter returns to her biggest fanbase for a string of shows celebrating her latest album Palpitations. The new record showcases a bold evolution in her sound, moving from the raw, melancholic vibes of her self-produced debut into shimmering, synth-driven territory.

Known for her emotive storytelling and ethereal vocals, Laurel has carved out a unique space in the indie-pop landscape since bursting onto the scene with Dogviolet in 2018.

Laurel dates and venues:

  • Thursday March 13, 2025 – The Outpost, Brisbane
  • Friday March 14, 2025 – The Night Cat, Melbourne
  • Saturday March 15, 2025 – Mary’s Underground, Sydney
  • Tickets on sale: Thursday February 13, 11am
  • Live Nation presale: Wednesday February 12, 11am – Thursday February 13, 10am

The upcoming Music For Sunsets Tour will see the songstress performing in some of the country’s most beloved intimate venues, perfect for experiencing the deeply personal nature of her latest material. Her evolution from the raw lyricism of Dogviolet to the 80s-inspired textures of Palpitations demonstrates an artist unafraid to push her creative boundaries.

With Australia holding the crown as Laurel’s biggest fanbase, these shows are expected to sell out quickly. The choice of venues suggests fans are in for an up-close-and-personal experience with one of indie pop’s most captivating voices.
