The record is sure to turn heads across the music industry.

Imogen Clark is quickly forging a reputation in Australia’s country music ranks. Still in her early 20s, Clark has already got a string of albums and EPs to her name and has just revealed another extended play to the world, The Making of Me.

The six-track record is her boldest, most realised work to date and features a number of revered collaborators such as Alex Lahey, Clare Bowen, Benmont Tench (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers), Pete Thomas (Elvis Costello & The Attractions) and more.

The EP draws inspiration from a difficult past 18 months for Clark, where back-to-back tours of Europe and North America coincided with some unfortunate personal events. Clark grew stronger as a person and songwriter through the turmoil which led to the creation of The Making of Me.

The record could be the making of Clark in every sense of the word with industry heads sure to resonate with the EP’s poignant narrative and stellar musicianship.

In the lead-up to the release, Clark has been performing a range of livestreamed shows from her own backyard. Across May and June, she delivered dedicated electric, acoustic and piano sets to showcase her music in different lights.

The Making of Me is out now via Potts Entertainment/MGM. For more on Imogen Clark, check out her website, Facebook and Instagram
