Following a successful run of shows in 2022, the Bristol rock 'n' rollers are making a much-anticipated return.

In early 2025, the fervent energy of IDLES sweeps across Australia as they embark on their tour, bringing their fifth album, TANGK, to life on stage. Kicking off in Auckland before hitting three iconic Australian venues, the tour will see the band play their biggest rooms in Australia so far.

Pronounced “tank” with a hint of the “g,” TANGK embodies the band’s journey and evolution. Initially known for their confrontational stance against societal injustices and personal struggles, IDLES now offer a new narrative—one of love, joy, and gratitude.

Lead single Dancer encapsulates the album’s essence, pulsating with raw power and infectious rhythms. Lead singer Joe Talbot’s lyrics explore the euphoria of new relationships while simultaneously celebrating the bond between IDLES and their fans.

On the new album, the band fuses heartfelt lyricism with catchy pop hooks to bolden and expand their signature brand of post-punk. Whether they’re singing about sex, sweat and partying or personal trauma and politics, the passion can be felt in every line.

On stage, the band’s relentless energy is something that needs to be seen to be believed. From the heavy instrumentals to Talbot’s dynamic dance moves, the live show showcases everything that makes IDLES so special and proves why they’ve come to be one of the most beloved groups in today’s punk scene.

As IDLES take to the stage in Australia, their performances become communal experiences, shared anthems of resilience and solidarity. Each song, from the throbbing beats of Dancer to the heartfelt ballads, serves as a beacon of light in a world that often feels dark and uncertain.
