The much lauded and much missed Icecream Hands are getting back together for one very special night at the Northcote Social Club

The Northcote Social Club will host a very special musical treat on Saturday January 29.

The much lauded and much missed Icecream Hands are getting back together for a very special night to perform one of their classic albums, 1999’s ARIA-nominated Sweeter Than The Radio.

The old firm of Charles Jenkins, Derek G Smiley, Douglas Lee Robertson and Marcus Goodwin will play the album in its entirety from start to finish.

Featuring a stunning lineup of songs, Sweeter Than The Radio includes Dodgy, Yellow and Blue, Spiritlevel (Beat’s favourite), Windowsill, The Obvious Boy and Nipple, plus Gasworks Park (one of the great Melbourne songs). This seminal Australian album has long been a huge favourite among lovers of guitar-driven pop rock around the world.

As another special treat to coincide with this rare reunion, their long-lost live acoustic album Live at Manchester Lane will finally be released as a limited edition and will be available on the night through Dust Devil Music!

Tickets are $15 pre-sale via northcotesocialclub.com, or they can be purchased at the door for $20 (if there are any left by then!).

Icecream Hands have no plans for any further shows, so you better be at The Northcote Social Club on Saturday January 29, hadn’t you?
