Hush: An Evening of Quiet Music returns with Melbourne residency

Sick of turning up to see your favourite musical Melbournites only to have them drowned out by noisy idiots? Then the unique musical escapade Hush: An Evening of Quiet Music might be just what you’re looking for.

The concert series – premised on the idea of a dead silent audience – is returning with an October residency at cosily quaint venue The Toff in Town. The idea was the brainchild of triple j presenter Stacey Gargoulis and musician Davey Craddock after they grew sick of their favourite artist’s gigs being ruined by useless noise.

The silent atmosphere, will provide a blank canvas for an array of Melbourne artists (including Batts, Emma Russack, Archer and Davey Lane) allowing for musical experimentation and parton interpretation that is generally not possible at your usual noisy gig.
