Central Coast artist Bek Jensen marks her first release of 2025 with Hot Summer Sun, a funk-laden commentary on climate change.
The track sees Jensen continuing her signature blend of soul, funk and RnB while tackling weightier themes beneath its groove-heavy surface. Hot Summer Sun explores the metaphorical relationship between celestial bodies against the backdrop of global warming concerns, creating what might be her most politically charged release to date.
The new single follows a steady stream of releases from the prolific songwriter, whose catalogue includes two albums and EPs alongside multiple singles. Having carved out her musical path since 2012, Jensen has built a devoted following through releases like BeKimochi, Lucky, and Magic & Art and Energy.
