Gorgeous gorgeous girls love soup!

From beef and barley to borscht, there’s nothing that cures those winter blues better than a steamy bowl of soup. If you’re in need of a little home-cooked goodness, don’t miss SEEDs Community Garden’s annual soup festival.

Set to take place on Sunday August 13, the beloved all-day event will be centred around delicious soup made from fresh, locally sourced and community-grown produce.

The festival embodies the values of its defining dish – it’s all about coming together, sharing with the ones you love and soaking up those warm and fuzzy feelings.

Held outdoors in the garden itself, the event will allow visitors to see first-hand where the produce they’re eating was grown. The weather may be a little chilly and while they’ll have a roaring fire going, the festival team recommends rugging up and bringing picnic blankets and gumboots if it’s raining or muddy.

Throughout the day, there will be a ton of activities including free gardening and creative workshops, live musicians and DJs, dancing, performances and storytelling.

There will be a mini market as well, where guests can grab locally made artisanal wares and food products. Alongside the food station, find a coffee cart and a bar area for all of your beverage needs.

Bring your family, your friends or your dog and head down to the garden to enjoy a bowl and nourish your body and your spirit.

Entry to the August 13 SEEDs Community Soup Festival is free. To RSVP and keep up to date on what the festival will offer, head here
