The renowned novelist and vocalist who was once a member of the former Australian folk supergroup Seeker Lover Keeper, conjures elements from her novel Goodwood and experiences from the last five years of her life in After a Time.

It marks a progressive shift in outlook for Throsby, with greater light, energy and lyrical curiosity coating the album. Recorded, mixed and co-produced by Tim Kevin (Youth Group, The Singing Skies), the LP incorporates the help of Mick Turner (Dirty Three, Cat Power) on guitar, Bree van Reyk (Paul Kelly) on drums and Marcus Whale (Collarbones) on saxophone.
