Castaway returns for summer 2026 with Hilltop Hoods, Violent Soho and Amy Shark leading a heavily homegrown bill.
Castaway is making its return this summer, rolling into Mornington on 12 December with a stacked lineup of Aussie heavy-hitters.
The one-day festival has locked in Hilltop Hoods to headline, with the Adelaide hip-hop trio sitting at the top of a bill that leans hard into local talent. Castaway 2026 fills out the rest of the day with Violent Soho, Amy Shark, Playlunch, Trials, Lyric and Birdland, all setting up at Mornington Racecourse for the Victorian date.

That spread covers a fair chunk of the Australian music map, from Hilltop Hoods’ long-running rap catalogue to the guitar heft of Violent Soho and the pop hooks of Amy Shark. Playlunch, Trials, Lyric and Birdland round things out further down the running order.
It’s a strictly 18-plus affair, built around a long day of sun, cold drinks and a run of sets moving through hip-hop, rock and pop. The peninsula setting hands the racecourse over to festival mode and gives the Victorian date a bit of a beach-day feel.
Castaway is also spreading across the country through summer and into autumn, with shows locked in for Western Australia and New South Wales either side of the Mornington leg. Each stop carries the same core lineup, so the draw stays the same wherever punters catch it.
Tickets roll out in stages. Telstra Plus members get first access from 26 August at 11am local time, running through until the following morning, so it pays to be signed up early if you want the jump on everyone else.
The Castaway presale then opens 27 August from midday, before general public tickets land 28 August, also from midday local time.
