This new hotel opening in Melbourne invites you to play, not stay.
Hijinx Hotel, a new immersive entertainment hub, opens in Melbourne CBD this August. The dual venue combines immersive gaming with theatrical cocktails.
Funlab introduces its wildly popular concept to Melbourne for the first time. The company creates a bold new entertainment destination that redefines traditional hospitality. Additionally, Hijinx Hotel throws out conventional hotel rules entirely.
The venue invites guests to play rather than stay. Visitors swipe keycards to access immersive game rooms disguised as hotel suites. However, these rooms actually contain ball pits and party games instead of beds.

How does it work?
Teams of two to six players complete five challenge rooms at four minutes each. The venue features 10 quirky rooms delivering mind-bending puzzles and crazy cocktails.
Moreover, Hijinx Hotel QV introduces brand-new gaming experiences exclusive to this location. Guests can channel their inner art thief through an immersive challenge room requiring precision and teamwork. The venue also debuts a mega light-up floor grid that responds to movement.
Additionally, Archie Brothers opens alongside Hijinx Hotel under the same roof. The circus-themed arcade combines nostalgic gaming with whimsical cocktails. Consequently, visitors can enjoy claw machines, arcade games and virtual reality experiences like Godzilla VR.
The dual venue concept creates Melbourne’s largest competitive socialising destination. The Hijinx Hotel complex includes karaoke rooms and two private function spaces. Corporate events and memorable parties find their perfect setting here too.
Furthermore, the theatrical bar experience matches the venue’s playful atmosphere.
Bartenders prepare the Bubble and Pop cocktail with exotic fruits and suspended vapour effects. Other signature drinks include Mystic Peach served in unicorn bowls and Mirror Mirror poured into disco balls. The menu also features pizzas, tacos and chicken bites, yummo.
Michael Schreiber, Funlab’s CEO, describes the mission as unleashing serious fun into Melbourne’s social scene. The venue targets date nights, team outings, birthday celebrations and spontaneous gatherings.
Therefore Melbourne gains its most unmissable new entertainment experience. The collaboration between Hijinx Hotel and Archie Brothers creates unprecedented fun opportunities. Visitors should prepare for theatrical cocktails, immersive gaming and nostalgic arcade action.
