Banana A-Peel is the name of the upcoming charity art exhibition, auction and live show that hopes to raise funds for the recent flood disasters.
Over 30 Melbourne-based artists and musicians are generously donating their time and talents for this night that’s sure to be full of hilarious and inspiring entertainment.
The exhibition opens on February 24, and kicks off at 6pm in the upstairs gallery at Fitzroy’s Old Bar. Bidding starts at $20, and the night will be hosted by comedian Andrew McClelland.
Music begins at 8pm, and you will dance the night away to the likes of Melbourne bands The Book Of Ships, The Yard Apes, Skyscraper Stan and The Once Overs.
The exhibition runs til March 10, and a preview will be available on Facebook here from February 15, so those who can’t attend the auction can still place a bid.
So make your way to the Old Bar, 74-76 Johnston St Fitzroy on February 24, at 6pm to check out and bid on artwork, hear some cool tunes, and laugh along with Andrew McClelland. Entry is $8, and all proceeds will go directly to the Salvation Army Flood Appeal, which supports both the Queensland and Victorian flood victims.
