To raise money for the new Victorian Pride Centre, the City of Stonnington is bringing A Night of Pride to Malvern Town Hall; complete with drag performances, live and silent auctions and much more.

In a bid to create a safe and inclusive space for the LGBTQIA+ community, the proposed Victorian Pride Centre will comprise a gallery, cafe, bar and meeting spaces for LGBTQIA+ focused organisations. The mayor of Stonnington, Steve Stefanopoulos says, “The Victoria Pride Centre will prove to be a safe space committed to supporting equality, diversity and inclusion for residents not just in Stonnington, but across Victoria. I’m looking forward to seeing the new centre come together and money raised will help this to happen”.

A Night of Pride not only looks to raise money for the Victorian Pride Centre, but it’s set to celebrate and foster the spirit of diversity and equality which is at the heart of the new centre. The charity event will feature a range of performances, including vocal artistry by acapella group LOW REZ, a special theatre organ performance by Scott Harrison, cabaret and opera favourites from Vincent Hopper alongside Rada Tochalna and Cosimo Ciccone and drag renditions of Kylie classics by Millie Minogue.

In addition to a showcase of LGBTQIA+ talent through a range of special performances, the night will also include a three-course meal as well as silent and live charity auctions. The theme is ‘Bold and Fabulous!’, so don’t be modest.

Night of Pride is happening at Malvern Town Hall on Thursday October 31. For tickets and more information, head to the Chapel off Chapel website.
