Specialising in prepared piano, Hauschka places foriegn objects into the body of a piano to coax new sounds from it. Carrying on the legacy from artists such as John Cage and merging it with contemporay collaborations, such as his work with Calexico, God’s Favourite Dog and Múm – Hauschka aims to bring classical piano into the 21st century.
