Gut Health announce a mystery tour with secret locations and surprise guests following the release of their debut album.

Naarm/Melbourne’s very own six-piece dance-punk band, Gut Health, are bringing their high energy, genre-blurring sound back to the streets of Naarm. But here’s the twist. The band will be keeping the locations and support acts under wraps until the week leading into the show.

The first gig has been announced, happening this Sunday, February 16, at the John Curtin Hotel’s front bar from 3:30pm.

Gut Health Tour Dates

  • Sunday 16th February at John Curtin w/ Public Figures
  • Sunday 23rd February at TBA
  • Sunday 2nd March at TBA

Gut Health’s rise has been impressive since their 2022 debut EP Electric Party Chrome Girl, recorded in a Brunswick storage facility. Their sound blurs the boundaries between hypnotic dance-punk, no-wave and chaotic noise.

Fittingly, this sound earned them airplay on KEXP, BBC Radio 1, Triple J, and RRR, alongside features across NME, Rolling Stone, The Needle Drop, The Line of Best Fit, Clash Magazine, Far Out Magazine, Wonderland and Guitar World.

Gut Health built on the promise of their debut EP and graced us with their ten-track debut album, Stiletto, in late 2024. An album that cements their reputation as sonic innovators.

These 10 tracks re-introduce the band’s hypnotic dance-punk, swinging between upbeat numbers and raw chaos. If you’re looking for a boogie on the dance floor, tracks like Uh Oh and The Recipe are where to look.

But they’ve also got tracks like Scripture, exposing a more slow-tempo and atmospheric vibe. With a heavy emphasis on their driving rhythm section backed by sharp, angular guitars and mind-bending synthesisers, Gut Health’s songs are brought home by the melodies and lyrical wit of front person Athina Uh Oh.

Gut Health are Athina Uh Oh, Adam Markmann, Dom Willmott, Eloise Murphy-Hill, Angus Fletcher and Myka Wallace.
