Guns n' Roses have rescheduled their 2021 Australian tour with a new Melbourne date delayed until December next year.
The American rock legends’ national Australian tour will move to new dates in November and December 2022 due to Covid-19. The shows will now be extended to a whopping three hours long.
They’re coming to Melbourne last among all the gigs, in what promises to be a spectacular send-off at the MCG, the same venue they played several years ago. The promoters say there are now new tickets available across the six shows.

“We worked for months with the various state governments trying to create a safe environment so that the Guns N’ Roses tour could proceed this year. Despite our best efforts it recently became clear that we could not proceed in 2021 and it has taken time to finalise a plan where we could be confident of completing a national tour of Australia next year,” TEG DAINTY promoter, Paul Dainty, said.
“This will be the biggest stadium rock tour of summer 2022 with hundreds of people on the road, a massive production and logistics involved.”
Guns n’ Roses’ 1987 debut album Appetite for Destruction is the best-selling U.S. debut ever, moving 30 million copies globally. In 1991, the seven-time platinum Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II occupied the top two spots of the Billboard Top 200 upon release. Since reuniting in 2016, Guns N’ Roses has gone on to sell over 5 million tickets worldwide on the Not In This Lifetime Tour.
Guns N’ Roses’ are Axl Rose (vocals, piano), Duff McKagan (bass), Slash (lead guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboard), Richard Fortus (rhythm guitar), Frank Ferrer (drums), and Melissa Reese (keyboard).
