Who can get involved in Gravity Worx Gym and how do they start? People of all abilities, from five years up can give climbing a go. On the first visit instruction is given on safe use of equipment and some basic technique tips. For students who want to learn more we offer regular classes, and for adults there are weekly technique classes. For the more adventurous we offer Learn to Lead courses, boot camp and advanced technique.
What can you do at Gravity Worx Gym? Climbing is an excellent physical activity. It combines strength and flexibility with fitness and problem solving. In 2020 rock climbing is going to be included in the Olympics. Gravity Worx is the only climbing gym in Australia where you can test yourself on the official speed climbing route.
What sets Gravity Worx Gym apart from similar places? One major drawcard are our auto belays. For beginners and groups this means they can confidently start climbing after a short safety demonstration. For experienced climbers auto belays expand the options for training such as doing laps up and down a climb for endurance, speed climbing and training without needing a belay partner. At Gravity Worx we set new climbs weekly, so there’s always something new to climb.
