I know, I know. I just missed it, that’s all. I want to hop the bandwagon, goddamn it, and you can’t stop me. I have the conch. This is the best Australian single I have heard all year. Maybe longer. Kimbra is a doll and she has a catch in her voice that gives me a chill, but Wally, holy moly. He’s like Peter Gabriel filled with horrible teenage yearning. And the song structure, the explosiveness, the brief moment when their voices intersect, the raw emotion in a song that is so well crafted – it’s enough to make you puke with jealousy and admiration. Other people do that, right?
