GOT THE SAUCE returns to SOLACE this Saturday, 8 August

Words by staff writer

GOT THE SAUCE returns to SOLACE on 8 August, taking over two levels with headliner ELUIZE on the bill.

Born from the spark that ignited the soulful beginnings of house music in the late ’80s, GOT THE SAUCE carries that energy into a new era, fusing old-school soul with today’s underground sound.

Eight hours of house music. Expect deep cuts, old-school house and minimal grooves – all blended with community and connection. This isn’t just a party. It’s house culture reborn: raw, underground and alive.

Interstate headliner ELUIZE leads the top level. The DJ, producer and vocalist arrives fresh off Believe, her third album, released earlier this year on her own label Night Tide – nine tracks that drift from breathy, introspective electronica into pulsing, acid-flecked club rhythms. Across her sets she folds house, techno, disco and rave euphoria into restless, shape-shifting selections.

ELUIZE is joined upstairs by GOT THE SAUCE founder APOLETT, playing a special back-to-back set with JUST ALICE, alongside COLETTE and TONG 桐.

APOLETT is a Melbourne-based DJ, curator, and multidisciplinary artist whose sets explore the emotional
architecture of the dance floor. Through hypnotic grooves, deep cuts, and carefully crafted moments of tension
and release, she creates immersive journeys that guide collective energy rather than simply raising intensity.

JUST ALICE is a Melbourne-based DJ and resident at Breakfast Club Melbourne. Her sound is driven by groove, emotion, and energy, blending infectious rhythms with carefully selected tracks that create memorable moments on the dancefloor.

The ground-floor bar keeps its own groove going from early evening to late. Cooper G b2b Oli Marshall, Mr Radders, Dani Westt b2b Berrocal and Human Resources carry deep cuts, house and deep minimal house through the night.

The split across two levels lets the crowd drift between the club up top and a more relaxed bar below, each moving at its own pace as the evening goes on. GOT THE SAUCE frame the event around community and connection as much as the records – the focus staying on the floor and the people filling it.
