With Janelle, Erykah, Ludacris, Ceelo, Faithless and more, this makes us really very happy.
Let’s get straight down to business. Good Vibrations festival happens in Melbourne at Flemington Racecourse on Sunday February 13, tickets go on sale on Thursday September 16 at 9am from Moshtix, Ticketmaster and Ozitx, and you’re going to go.
Because the lineup is this:

Miike Snow
Fake Blood

Not excited? Faithless are legends of the UK dance scene and make the coolest, chilledest, classiest dance music you can think of. Phoenix – PHOENIX! Phoenix – are beautiful friend men making amazing fusion of pop and rock and synth, with their latest album blowing minds all around. Sasha is just a ridiculously good DJ and even if you don’t know about DJs you should know that. Nas and Damian Marley is a wicked combination of one of rap’s most respected MCs and a member of reggae royalty. Because that’s Marley as in Bob.
Then there’s Cee Lo Green – who has recently gone viral with F**k You and jumped out of Gnarls Barkley to become a big smiley black man singing nasty things about ladies. Soul style. Dalking about soul style, Erykah Badu is coming to Australia FOR THE FIRST TIME! This is Lauryn Hill-style of sexy, and Erykah is honestly one of the hot-damnedest best ladies in soul at the moment.
She’s joined by the wicked cool Kelis, who will bring all the boys to the yard with her milkshake, and the amazing, amazing, beautiful cute and did I say amazing Janelle Monae, who at the tender age of Very Young is making big waves with her genremashed awesomeness, all-singing all-dancing future-retro sexy album Metropolis. She’s been described as "Prince with a quiff." (Prince did have a quiff, but whatever.)
Did I mention Ludacris? Because he’s gonna be there too, and he’s one of hip hop’s hottest – Grammy award-winning, superstar. Awesome.
Then there’s Friendly Fires, who were shortlisted for the Mercury Prize in 09 (the XX took it this year) and there’s also hype hype hype-tastic Miike Snow, the Swedish Duo that are making pop music through a different lens. Plus more. And also a festival. And sun and happytimes.
So yeah. Get, um, ready. I’m going to go dance in a circle now.
