The ultimate ‘brew off’ is ready to hit this year’s Good Beer Week. Make your way into the artfully scuffed, mismatched furniture, decayed-grandeur good looks of one of the cities watering holes – Belleville. This heritage listed site with its period windows illuminating the distressed plaster walls is where Australia’s best independent breweries Dainton and Hargreaves Hills will battle head to head for the title of heavyweight champ. The night will explore the explosive growth of the craft beer industry and the dramatic journeys of two start-up breweries. The Dainton family are dedicated and tragic beer lovers who are down to make beer their legacy. Hargreaves Hills are thirsty for more choice and quality in the Australian beer market, working with simple philosophies, good quality ingredients and great flavour and balance. The two will be slinging an array of the best brews from their range against a special Belleville menu – giving you the chance to partake in the ultimate food-matching melee. Over the evening nine beers will be on tap, while you enjoy a four-course meal to match. Nine taps. Four courses. One heavyweight title. Don’t miss it.
