The group plan to be on the road for much of 2017, after knuckling down on crafting new tracks in the studio (due for release later this year). The tour comes after the release of their latest single Twist In The Dark, produced by The Drones’ Gareth Liddiard and the first release through the band’s new label home Barely Dressed Records.
The single is the first release since their 2015 debut album It’s You, which garnered them national attention. Short-listed for the Australian Music Prize, Gold Class sold out shows, entertained crowds at festivals like Splendour In The Grass and Golden Plains and embarked upon a 2016 tour through Europe and America. Representing a giant leap forward from the band’s previous work in terms of sophistication and sonic clarity, lead singer Adam Curley stated that he wanted to “push everything further” using the song.
