That's your civic duty. That's what's most important. Beers, beers, beers.
If you haven’t already heard the news, the Premier of the People’s Republic of Hookturnistan has hung up the North Face jacket and set his sights on greener pastures.
Having led the state since 2014, the man’s had a pretty good run of it and to see him off, Fitzroy’s own Perseverance aka Persa is hosting a big ol’ Get on the Beers bash. In reference to the iconic Mashd N Kutcher remix, they’re gearing up for a big one on September 29.
Also, if your name is Dan (or Dani) consider yourself lucky: you’ll get a free pint. They’ll be spinning the iconic track – according to their Facebook – “throughout”. Just can’t get enough.

They’re pouring $6 beers all night – ya just can’t go wrong. In the words of the aforementioned remix: that’s what’s most important, the pub. That’s what’s the most important, beers.
One of the longest-serving premiers in Victoria’s history, Dan Andrews was one of only five leaders in history to have served more than 3,000 days in office. Although he’s probably best known for inadvertently becoming a pop culture icon, largely due to the amount of air time he got during the Covid lockdowns.
And don’t forget to whip out your North Face puffer vests – after all, they’re looking for a new CEO.
It’s what must be done. It all goes down at Persa on Friday, September 29. Find out more here.
