Makers & Shakers

The Makers & Shakers Market will feature over 100 stalls from local creators.

There’s something special about buying an item you love from the person who made it. You get your hands on something that’s rare and handmade while supporting a small business and the seller gets to see you enjoying the thing they have created. How wholesome!

If you can’t imagine a Sunday morning without a trip to the markets, then you’re going to want to make a note of this one.

Makers & Shakers Market

The Makers & Shakers Market is coming to Seaworks in Williamstown on April 22 and 23. The weekend event will feature over 100 stalls from different local creators, selling everything from snacks and drinks to homewares and sustainable fashion.

With events in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Canberra, the market is focused on showing Australian-made goods a little love. Their aim is to help preserve traditional skills and crafts, support small businesses, and contribute to a sustainable future by helping shoppers find items they will cherish for years down the line.

While the official Makers & Shakers Melbourne vendor lineup hasn’t been announced yet, expect to find wares including ceramics, candles, jewellery, clothing, snacks, art, accessories and skincare.

It’s the perfect place to meander the day away, pick up a gift for someone special, or grab a few cute things for yourself. And if you forget your reusable tote bag, don’t worry! I’m sure you’ll be able to pick up a new one there.
