Georgia State Line is coming to Recital Centre this Saturday

Words by Staff Writer

Georgia State Line is coming to Melbourne Recital Centre this Saturday.

Georgia State Line is the award-winning project of Victorian songwriter Georgia Delves and is brought to life by her band of Australia’s finest players; Tom Brooks, Laura Baxter and Patrick Wilson. The band have cemented themselves as frontrunners of the country music genre, with their 2021 debut In Colour (Cheatin’ Hearts/Spunk! Records) earning an ARIA and AIR nomination for Best Country Album, a Music Victoria Award and are highly acclaimed within AUS and internationally.

Ahead of Georgia State Line’s one-night-only special event with new music adapted by a string ensemble at the Melbourne Recital Centre, the band has released this live performance video they produced with Fight Night Records. This spellbinding track ‘Get Back The Stars’, features the string section that will perform at the show.

The forthcoming show at the Primrose Potter Salon will be an exclusive first taste of new material, and a collaboration with acclaimed composer Lucy G Rash who will be writing string arrangements and leading the ensemble alongside Chloe Sanger and cellist Nils Hobiger.

This presentation will be Auslan interpreted with Georgia State Line offering discounted tickets to First Nations, Deaf, and Disabled patrons.
