Geoffrey O’Connor of Crayon Fields fame has recorded a solo album including this single, which is about as limp and tedious as anything Crayon Fields have ever done. I mean, this is not the popular opinion, obviously, people love the kitten cough indie pop of Crayon Fields but it makes me want to put my eyes out, if only to be distracted by the pain. Rocking the utterly sincere synth strings of the eighties New Wave and a breathy little boy lover vocal, Whatever Leads Me To You also features a bass line stolen from the incidental music in Labyrinth. Sounds good on paper, I know.
