Gene Simmons announces solo Australian tour

Rock ‘n’ roll legend Gene Simmons in heading down under in February 2018 for his first ever solo tour away from Kiss. The tour kicks off in Adelaide then runs through Sydney and Melbourne before finishing up in Brisbane.

“Doing these smaller concert halls, which hold a thousand to three thousand people, means they get filled up by real diehard fans,” says Simmons. “The don’t want to hear the same-old, same-old. It’s a hoot for me because I’ve never really had a chance to do this stuff live.”

The set list changes from night to night, fans will receive an unpredictable set of gems from both Simmons’ and KISS’ repertoires. Not to mention the possibility of a few covers. 

Commemorating the tour, Simmons will release The Vault, a personal soundtrack of his life that includes 150 recordings from rock ‘n’ roll artists including his bandmates from KISS. The Vault includes mementos, 160 pages of unseen photos and track by track commentary. Plus, a double pass in the nearest capital city to Simmons’ show. Simmons has sold over 100 million albums worldwide as part of the iconic band KISS. Known for his tongue wagging antics and black and white makeup, his musical ability is often overlooked. However, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame resident deserves all the praise he has received over his career.
