The vibrant and much-loved Gasworks Arts Park in Albert Park is hosting their Circus In The Park program in 2022.
Gasworks Arts Park and Red Canvas Productions are teaming up to bring Melbourne another phenomenal program of outdoor activities after the success of their sold-out Circus Under The Stars in January at the beginning of this year.
Gasworks will be hosting two programs. The first, ‘Sunset Circus’, is an incredible family-friendly circus cabaret show that will be hosted by Mason West and feature some of Australia’s most awe-inspiring circus performers.

It will feature amazing feats of strength by aerialists on silks, a spinning wheel queen, and a balancing maestro who’ll wow you as he hangs impossibly on a series of unbelievable objects.
All the performances will be held safely in a socially-distanced, open-air theatre, with a fun-filled beachy circus vibe for the kids, so you can attend stress-free and enjoy what promises to be a spectacular series.
Sunset Circus
- Friday 14 January, 7pm – 8.30pm

Full-fare tickets cost $45, concession $30, family of four cost $30 each and there’s a special locals discount for City of Port Phillip residents on opening night, which will get you in for $30. For all the info and to grab tickets, head here.
Gasworks’ second event is adults-only: an outrageous cabaret show hosted by Valerie Hex (of YUMMY the show fame) that also features a stellar cast of top-drawer Australian circus performers and cabaret stars putting on a show to remember. There will be aerialists on a trapeze, a songstress showcasing their delightful vocal powers, a hula-hooping extraordinaire and more.
Also socially distanced and open-air, you can enjoy this show with a glass of champagne and indulge yourself in moments of truly miraculous skill and determination.
