Look, I’d be happy to give Galapagoose’s rampant pretentiousness a pass if Lisbon sounded any good, but we’re left with a fairly aimless journey through tonally weak guitar and vocals that tend to grate rather than inspire. Ham-fisted lyricisms become drenched in delay, as if to enhance a profundity that just isn’t there. The rhythm section have their shit together though, filling out the bottom end nicely.
