Taking place on February 11, this free outdoor festival will light up Heidelberg Park for a day of soul, jazz, blues and R&B.
Twilight Sounds is set to take over Heidelberg Park Oval with an evening of jazz and blues played by popular Australian musicians. Featuring the likes of DJ MzRizk, Mahalia Barnes, Benny Walker, The Meltdown and Mayfield, this free event will bring smooth jazz and blues to the northern suburbs.

Hosted by the Banyule City Council, Twilight Sounds Jazz and Blues Festival comes complete with a selection of food trucks to keep you fuelled throughout the day, although you are welcome to bring your own picnic – there will also be a bar provided by 3 Ravens Brewery. Though, Twilight Sounds discourage bringing glass, pets and shade structures to the festival.
The full lineup features some of the best soul, jazz and blues artists from across our diverse city: with over two decades of DJing experience under her belt, DJ MzRizk will bring her signature jazz and soul sound to Heidelberg Park Oval.
She’ll be joined by the likes of Mahalia Barnes – a powerhouse of a soul and blues vocalist, who will be backed by a full band. With inspiration including everyone from Ray Charles to Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin to Donny Hathway, her live show is not one to be missed.

Be transfixed by the emotionally driven performance of Yorta Yorta singer and songwriter Benny Walker. Also joining the lineup, The Meltdown will echo the soulful sounds of Memphis with soaring vocalisations and mesmerising instrumentalisation in their powerful live performances. Bringing their strong live performance to Twilight Sounds Jazz and Blues Festival, Mayfield have garnered a reputation as being a staple of Melbourne’s music scene.
