This Saturday June 4 is the kick-off of the Melbourne Jazz Festival, an exciting and rather Grown Up festival that spans from June 4 – June 13 – next week!

To open the festival, they’re holding an event called The Big Jam, where you can find Bae Il Dong, Chir, The Cairo Club Orchestra, Sun Ra Arkestra, Rusty Berther (Scared Weird Little Guys), Mal Webb (vocal contortionist, multi-instrumentalist, national treasure), Gillian Howell (MSO Jams) and the Australian Art Orchestra, led by Paul Grabowsky jamming together with special guest: you. Bring an instrument and get involved. It happens from 2pm-3pm at Federation Square.

After that there’s the Opening Celebration Concert starting from 3pm and going until 5pm. It features The Cairo Club Orchestra, Bae Il Dong and The Sun Ra Arkestra.
