The smell of fresh paint will soon be in the air as the Frankston CBD is transformed.

Frankston’s annual Street Art Festival is set to paint the town in a new light this March, with nine renowned artists bringing fresh colour to the bayside suburb’s walls and laneways.

The six-day festival will see the CBD transformed into an open-air gallery, with artists creating large-scale murals and projection works in real-time across multiple locations.

Visitors can explore the evolving artworks through guided walking tours, with the final collection adding over 100 new pieces to Frankston’s urban landscape.

The festival features Australian artists Damien Arena, Jasmine Crisp, Tommy Day III, Trent Downie, Aleks Grilz and SWEL alongside international talents Simon Beuve (France), Manuel Guiro (Spain) and Candela Colors (Argentina).

This year’s program culminates in a free community Block Party on March 22, transforming Gallery and Stiebel Lanes into a celebration of urban art and culture. Held in the White Street Mall, this all-ages evening event features local food vendors and musical entertainment from DJs Pixleton and CuznMatt.

More details about the Block Party’s program are set to be revealed soon, so stay tuned!

The festival builds on Frankston City Council’s ongoing commitment to public art, with the People’s Choice Award returning to recognise outstanding contributions to the city’s evolving street art collection.

All guided tours and events are free, though bookings are essential for walking tours due to limited capacity.
