FLOW Festival announces lineup changes

Just months out from its inaugural event, FLOW Festival has made a few lineup changes.

In August came news of a brand new music festival set to hit Footscray Community Arts Centre: FLOW Festival, a one-day extravaganza showcasing the best of hip hop, soul, rap and groove.

With the festival set to go down in December, there have been some slight changes to the lineup due to “circumstances outside of festival organisers’ control”. Previously announced South African act Sho Madjozi has pulled out of the event due to the current political climate in South Africa as well as a date clash which sees FLOW coincide with Reconciliation day – a date Madjozi’s management describes as “significant”.

“Unfortunately, due to circumstances outside of our control, Sho Madjozi will no longer be performing at FLOW. We are deeply saddened by this situation, however we are fully supportive of this decision. We look forward to working with her in the future as we have the utmost respect for her artistry, but also for what she stands for,” says FLOW Festival’s Arthur Tanzi.

It’s not all bad news, though, with two new additions replacing Madjozi on the lineup. Joining an already stacked bill including the likes of KAIIT, FLEXMAMI, Digable Planets and SO.Crates, comes rising stars Milan Ring and Agung Mango.
