1. Gear Shift is an electronic music jam session at Loop. Bring whatever gear you like, e.g. a laptop, smartphone, old synth, drum machine, home-made oscillator, sonic gadget of any description, etc.
2. Anyone can join in, regardless of whether you’re experienced or a complete beginner, whatever style of electronic music you like playing – get there early at 7pm for participant registration or just come and listen if you’re shy!
3. Gear Shift takes place on the last Wednesday of each month at Loop. Next one is on Wednesday May 28 – free entry!
4. After each jam session is a live performance from a fantastic Melbourne electronic music artist. This month features Friendships live, kicking off at 9pm
5. Gear Shift features the amazing VJ crew Object_State with a behind-the-scenes view of knob-twiddling action, all through a psychedelic spaced-out filter.
