Feast your eyes on the Wollombi Music Festival 2018 lineup

Free camping, the beautiful Australian landscape, and a mix of blues, rock, reggae, funk, soul, and roots: that’s Wollombi Music Festival. Over it’s 9th year history, Wollombi has become something of legend thanks to instalments such as 2018’s epic drum circle, burlesque under the Big Top, and the grooviest Silent Disco in the HunterValley.

Spanning over two days and two stages, the gates open on Friday at 3pm for only 400 fortunate ticket-holders. If you’re one of the lucky few, you’ll be treated to live music around the huge fire-pit as well as an eclectic mix of food-stalls, market stalls, and (of course) a well-stocked bar. The Saturday will be a chance to see the festival in full-swing, with live music showing across the two stages and numerous activities to keep you well-entertained.

In true Wollombi fashion, the 9th birthday celebrations are channelled straight into the talent on offer. Artists such as Sex On Toast, Tijuana Cartel, Thando, and Kallidad are just four of the 15 names listed; four play the Friday night, while the other 11 play on the Saturday.

If this all weren’t enough, Wollombi 2018 is partnering with the earth and providing a more environment-conscious experience for all. No single-use plastic bottles will be allowed on site, all food will be served in recyclable or compostable materials, and no plastic bags will be used for market purchases. All food scraps will be composted, and the festival’s “leave no trace policy” is an appreciative nod to the surrounding native bushland and fauna. This festival is perfect if the whole “saving the environment” shtick is your thing – and if it’s not… why?
