Cavalera announce Third World Trilogy Australian tour for January 2025 with Algor Mortis.

Heavy metal legends Max and Iggor Cavalera are set to bring their Third World Trilogy tour to Australia in January 2025. Known for their foundational role in extreme metal, the Cavalera brothers will showcase tracks from their iconic early releases Morbid Visions, Bestial Devastation, and Schizophrenia.

These albums, initially recorded in the 1980s with Sepultura, have been re-recorded and released on Nuclear Blast Records, capturing a new level of intensity that honours the raw and pioneering sound that helped define both the death and thrash metal genres.

The Third World Trilogy tour promises fans a rare experience, as the Cavalera brothers revisit the music that set the stage for their decades-long career in extreme metal. The tour’s name is a nod to the early days of Sepultura in Brazil, where Max and Iggor began their journey in 1984, building a legacy that still resonates through heavy metal worldwide.

Joining Cavalera on this tour will be Melbourne’s own Algor Mortis, a rising force in the underground metal scene. Known for their brutal combination of death metal and beatdown hardcore, Algor Mortis gained attention with their 2023 release Stages of Death, leading to a signing with the US-based death metal label Maggot Stomp. Their powerful and guttural sound makes them a fitting addition to the tour lineup, bringing a modern edge to the extreme metal showcase.

Tickets will be available through Destroy All Lines, with an early bird presale starting at 10 am local time on Thursday, 31 October. General ticket sales begin at 12 pm local time on Friday, 1 November. For complete tour details and ticketing information, visit Destroy All Lines.
