The tour comes in the wake of his debut single, Sleep. The 27-year-old artist cut his teeth working as a session player alongside the likes of Charli XCX and Alex Metric before moving to Melbourne and developing a sound of his own, signing to EMI before he’d even played his first official show.
“Before I start writing music I sometimes collect field recordings out in nature and use them to set a scene in a song,” said Klar. “For example in Sleep I wanted the voice of the character and structure of the song to be straight forward or simple but have the sound design and music lead the story.”
