Eternally Yours, The Mountain Goats

American indie-rock trio, The Mountain Goats are set to release their new album All Eternals Deck next Friday March 25.

These days, when you Google ‘mountain goats’ you don’t immediately get a picture a furry white creature with horns. Instead you get a picture of three men from North Carolina, the indie-rock trio The Mountain Goats who are set to release their new album All Eternals Deck next week.

This will mark John Darnielle, Peter Hughes and Jon Wurster’s 13th studio album since their debut release in 1994. While their last album The Life of The World to Come featured twelve tracks that were each titled after and inspired by a verse of the Christian Bible, All Eternal Decks features 14 songs based on a differing range of topics from 70s cult films to old paintings.

Instead of staying at the one studio for the album The Mountain Goats travelled around recording their tracks at North Carolina’s Fidelitorium, Q Division in Boston, Brooklyn’s Mission Sound and then at Florida’s Mana Recording Studios

The Mountain Goats are also auctioning off one of their original demo tapes from 2001 with all the proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders, specifically for the Japan earthquake relief.

You can stream the CD online now, and download their single release Damn These Vampires. The physical copy will be available Friday March 25.
