The great news is that their radio silence has been broken and they’ve announced the When We Were Kids tour. The band will perform five rare and intimate acoustic shows around Australia in May. They’ve also announced that a portion of the proceeds from this tour will go towards Oxfam’s Close The Gap Campaign. A limited number of tickets are available to the general public via the band’s website.
Eskimo Joe have come a far way from their humble beginnings in Fremantle. They’ve once again joined forces with the same team with whom they worked on the multi-platinum selling Black Fingernails, Red Wine on the new album. That record debuted at #1 on the Aria Chart in 2006 and the lead single, Foreign Land, from 2009’s Inshalla was the most played Australian song on radio in that year as well as receiving the APRA Award for Best Rock Song.
